Ode, is a collection of free verses composed in praise of lawyers. The alphabet “e” in The fifthe octave represents the fifth letter which can be taken to the highest pitch in the musical octave. The author found it as the most appropriate expression in the title of the book to represent the personality of an advocate. An Advocate- the wizard of the words. He is in fact a person educated and rehearsed in the metaphors of law, naturally inclined towards virtue and uncorrupted faith in the power of the Supreme and the dexterity of his own litany. He is aware of the greatness of his own vocation but doesn’t let you know. His command over language and oratory are gifts of rarity as the words of this pleader are conjured by untiring study and practice. Thus the composition in praise of him could not be confined to a regulated metre and rhyme. The ode is thus composed in free verses to represent the personality of an advocate, the person who is known and addressed in various ways at times not very favourable to him. This book has attempted to remove that bias because, he still moves in this world as a beacon of hope spreading happiness in the multitudes of people regardless of what everybody else thinks about him. He is as unassuming crusader who introduces to the humanity the new vistas of the fields known and unknown leaving his footprints for the posterity, himself merging into the light of infinity.
