About Author
Late Majid Husain is a reputed name in the field of geography. Having an excellent capability to simplify the difficult concepts in Geography in lucid and cogent style, he had authored and edited over four dozen books mainly for the university students and for those preparing for the civil services examination. Working with Jamia Millia Islamia, Late Majid Husain was an Indian Geographer of International fame. An iconic academician, Husain, received the ?Best Geography Teacher? award in 1997 by the Govt of Delhi, ?Bhugol Bhusan Award? in 2008 and ?Siksha Ratna Award? in 2011.
The current edition of the book is being revised by Dr. Tasawwur Husain Zaidi, who is another reputed professor with Jamia Millia Islamia University, Delhi. He holds an experience in imparting lectures to civil services aspirants along with preparing modules.
