Textbook of Environmental Studies (2e) is
designed to meet the requirements of a compulsory undergraduate course on
environmental studies, as mandated by the UGC. Mirroring the UGC’s objective,
this book endeavours to generate awareness about environmental concerns among
students. The content has been developed so that students from all

The book introduces the reader to the perils facing the environment and the
