Indic Perspective on International Relations

International Relations (IR) developed as a separate academic discipline after World War II. Westcentric discourse has dominated International Relations regarding its genealogy, methodology, epistemology, and axiology. Nonwestern perspectives on IR are typically absent in arguments and interpretations presented in scholarly accounts.

Indic perspective on International Relations addresses this gap by analysing the disciplinary crisis and advancing the Indic narrative as a viable nonwestern alternative. Besides, this edited volume also covers different aspects of India`s foreign policy, Indian strategic culture, and key bilateral and multilateral relations. Written by wellknown scholars from an interdisciplinary perspective, this forwardlooking work opens up the possibilities of rethinking International Relations from the Indic perspective.
