Shikhandin is the nom de plume of an Indian writer who writes for adults and children. At present, she lives in Chennai, India, with her husband and Lady Highbury - her Shepsky. She has two grown up children. Her published books, as Shikhandin, include "Impetuous Women" (Penguin-Random House India), "Immoderate Men" (Speaking Tiger), and "Vibhuti Cat" (Duckbill Books). Her story "Sniggy" is included in the anthology "Flipped - School Stories/Sports Stories," by Harper Collins India. Her sci-fi story – Communal - has been included in two anthologies, "A Dying Planet" from Flame Tree Press and "Avatar" anthology of Indian and Italian sci-fi from Future Fiction. Her children's story Magic Seeds was first published in the Puffin Book of Magic Stories for Eight-Year-Olds, and subsequently republished in 'English Language Text Books' by OUP. A novel and a story collection were published previously. A novella is forthcoming later in 2023.
