1. Tales of shivaji: Shivaji, famous as a warrior and patriot, was also renowned for his kindness. His behaviour managed to convert a spunky young mother, an avenging widow, and a terrified maiden into devoted friends. Not only did the powerful Maratha display humility and a constant sense of fair play, he also upheld the honour of every woman whether rich or poor, enemy or ally.
2. Tanhaji: Tanaji malusare was only a boy when he took an oath to support his friend, Shivaji, in fighting the Mughals. Along with their small band of faithful followers they became a thorn in the side of the emperor Aurangzeb as they conquered fort after fort. Tanaji’s prowess was tested when he was entrusted with the near impossible task of capturing kondana fort. The present story is based on shivasmruti by G S. 3. Sambhaji: The entire Maratha kingdom was shocked when Sambhaji, the son of Shivaji, joined forces with the Mughal army, Shivaji’s greatest foe. Sambhaji had a tough childhood. His father was too busy to look after him and his mother died when he was only two. The young Sambhaji’s main support came from his grandmother. When she died, he was bereft of love and care. To make matters worse, his step-mother was campaigning to make her own son the next ruler, trying to poison Shivaji’s mind against Sambhaji. This Amar Chitra Katha traces the events that led up to the coronation of this wise and just Maratha ruler.
