About Author

Anuradha Roy was educated in Calcutta and Cambridge. She has worked as a publisher and a journalist and is now an editor at Permanent Black, an independent press. Her first novel, An Atlas of Impossible Longing, has been published in 17 countries and translated into 15 languages across the world. It was shortlisted for the Crossword Prize in India and longlisted for the IMPAC Dublin Award 2008. It has been named by World Literature Today as one of the 60 most essential books on modern India and was among the Washington Post's Books of the Year on its recent US publication. Her second novel, The Folded Earth, was shortlisted for the Hindu Literary Award and longlisted for the Man Asian Literary Prize in 2011.
