Uncertain Eagle: US Military
Strategy in Asia examines the military strategy of the United States and its
impact on India and other countries in Asia. The United States is still the
strongest power in the world, but major rising powers such as China, Japan
and India have begun to exert greater influence and challenge to the USA in
world affairs. Uncertain Eagle examines other challenges to the United
States, such as terrorism, the threat of nuclear proliferation and ‘loose
nukes’ in Iran, North Korea and Pakistan. Whether the United States will
remain an active player in Asian military affairs or choose to be an active
balancer, will have important implications for Asian stability and Indian
security.
