About Author
Helen Beatrix Potter was an English writer and illustrator best known for her children’s books featuring animals. The immense popularity of Potter’s books was based on the lively quality of her illustrations, the non-didactic nature of her stories, the depiction of the rural countryside and the imaginative qualities she lent to her animal characters. Two of Beatrix’s earliest artist models were her pet rabbits - Benjamin Bouncer and Peter Piper, who accompanied her everywhere.
