The Story of My Experiments with Truth or simply-An Autobiography is the story of the Mahatma in his own words. Published originally in Gujrati and called Satya Na Prayago, Gandhiji initiated writing of this work on the insistence of Swami Anand. In 1998, the book was designated as the one of the ‘100 Best Spiritual Books of the 20th century’.

This volume traces the journey of the Mahatma starting from his birth and early childhood to 1921. It illuminates the journey of the father of our nation from a young child in Gujarat to a law student in England and a Attorney and social worker in South Africa to a messiah of several subjects and the person who fought the mightiest Empire of the world.

This is a story of a man, in his own words, upon whose demise, the great scientist Albert Einstein said -“Generations to come will scarce believe that such a one as this ever in flesh and blood walked upon this earth.”
