K S Karanth is a well known literary figure and the story of his life, penned by himself is interesting and lucid. One can imagine and visualize the incidents that took place in his life, so clearly has he written about them. References to the emergency, to the political calling, to films, to dramas, to yakshagana and others make the book interesting. Experiments in education, call of music, a dancing body for a dancing mind, uplift of villages, venture into journalism are some of the chapters included in the book.

About Author

Dr K Shivarama Karanth is a multi faceted genius, a prolific writer having written over 30- books and 45 novels, several drams, essays, encyclopaedias for children etc. He is an authority on yakshagana. He is a Padmabhushan and a recipient of the Jnanapeeth award. He has several D Litts to his credit, has chaired Kannada Sahitya Sanmmelan, has been a distinguished fellow of the Sangeetha Natak Academy.
