About Author

Farida Raj is a remedial educator registered with the Rehabilitation Council of India [RCI]. She has a degree in special education from Mumbai University. She is an experienced in-service teacher, having taught at many schools run by Spastics Society of UK and has also worked with Children with cerebral Palsy at the Spastics Society of India, Mumbai. She set up Centre for Special Education, Secunderabad, where she conducts assessment and provides remedial education for children with specific learning difficulties. Over the years, she has been a regular columnist in popular English and Urdu news papers addressing issues focusing on Women empowerment, parenting issues and addressing topics such as specific learning difficulties, Attention deficit hyper activity disorder [ADHD], autism and slow learners.
