Sarojini Naidu

Indian poet and political activist Sarojini Naidu, also known as BharatiyaKokila (The Nightingale of India), was a prolific poet, whose work drewwide acclaim, and influenced generations of writers. Many of SarojiniNaidu’s poems are infused with political and social commentary; butquite a few are simply musings on life; meditative and halcyonic.Though she has written poems on religion, country, women’s freedom,etc., and her poems on nature occupy the first place in her poetry.
