There are many books available in the market on safety covering different aspects of safety. In the book, I have attempted to share my experience on safety through some case studies which are explained in a very simple manner, with simple sketches at some places and with basic purpose that even work-force in field can understand the reasons for the accident / Fire and remember them for long time. I have gone through many case studies, where author writes about the chemical process in complicated language, explaining the process, flow-Diagram of the process and what could have been the probable reasons for the accident. While I appreciate their approach but to my mind, the person in field wants to understand the cause and remedies in a very simple language with reasons and learnings.

About Author

Brij Mohan Bansal had his education in Delhi. After passing out B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute Technology of Delhi (IITD), he joined a large Paper Mill as Management Trainee. After about a year, he shifted to one of the major "Refining and Marketing" Company of India as Engineer Trainee and retired from there as "Chairman" after long service of more than thirty six years. He spent almost twenty years in Refinerie working at various positions and remaining years in Business Development Group for diversification of Company's operations to Petrochemicals, LNG and Gas.
