This practical resource discusses the construction of reservoir models and the implementation of these models in both forward and Inverse modes. The book offers clear explanations of complicated modeling techniques for Continuous physical systems. Readers will gain insight into the most valuable asset of the petroleum engineer, the hydrocarbon reservoir. Written by a pair of experts in the field, reservoir engineering models: an analytical and numerical approaches covers the building process for mathematical models as well as solution protocols. Advanced chapters teach the assembly of complex physical processes using principles of Physics and mathematical solutions. Readers will learn to optimize well development strategies and enhance oil and gas recovery.

Highlights:
1. Provides background on the math of reservoir engineering and transport equations
2. Highlights the intricate relationships between models and the Engineers that use them
3. Written by two experienced petroleum engineers and academics.
