His YA fiction The Adventurous 6: The Sinister Summer Holiday has been loved by readers from across the world. Penguin published his true crime bestseller India's Money Heist: The Chelembra Bank Robbery in 2022 which is going to have a screen adaptation. His memoir The Hills Are Burning is about his growing up years in the late 80s in a boarding school set against the violence of the Gorkhaland agitation in Kalimpong, India. He is the Co-Creator, Producer and Writer of one of India's most loved true crime shows on Television - Savdhaan India. His day job is as a television content producer having produced hit TV shows on Indian television channels like Crime Patrol, Fear Files and Ishq Kills. Anirban spent his childhood at Dr Graham’s Homes, a boarding school in Kalimpong Anirban is an alumnus of St. Xavier's College, Kolkata where he graduated in English Literature. He then went on to do his Masters in Mass Communication from MCRC, Jamia, New Delhi. He has been the Content Head at Channel [v] India,and Head of Brand Solutions and Non-Fiction at The Walt Disney Company (India). He is an actor having acted in Sui Dhaaga, Opium and Mission Mangal. He is also a standup comedian when he is not deep diving into crime for his television shows or his books.
