About Author

Robert Thornton Morrison was an academician, who taught and wrote about chemistry, particularly organic chemistry. He had worked with the New York University for a period of twenty years, until he retired as a professor in the year 1968. While teaching at the university, he along with another colleague at the university, wrote the textbook on organic chemistry which changed the entire methodology of teaching the subject. Since 1959, the book has been accepted as a comprehensive textbook on the subject. With more than five editions of the book, the book has successfully sold more than two million copies.
