Mark Tully presents us with Non Stop India around 20 years after his earlier work, No Full Stops in India. with forty years of experience working in India, Mark successfully takes the reader on a journey that is truly enjoyable. He shares his experiences as a traveler all over India. Unlike the journalists of today, Mark Tully does not force his opinions on his readers. He simply describes the situation and the conversations that take place and leaves the readers to make up their own mind. This is what old school journalism is all about. Tully deals with various problems in his book such as Maoist conflicts, gigantic corporate houses, the suicide spree among farmers, projects to save the Tiger and so on. Never for a second does the writing get bland or lack in depth. The author describes a resurgent India grappling with modern concepts and rising above them. Non Stop India works on more than one level. You can enjoy the book regardless of whether you are an Indian or a foreigner interested in India. Published by Penguin India in 2013, this book is available in hardcover. Key Features: The book was originally released internationally as India: The Road Ahead. Non Stop India is the title used in India.
