The Series has been divided into 4 volumes. The book is a must for the scholars and the shelves of all the libraries. The book is the third volume in the series. It deals with Mandala 7 and 8 of the Rig Veda Samhitaa. The Seventh Mandala consists of 104 Sooktas and 840 Mantras, presented by Rishi Wasishtha and his descendants. Most of the eighth Mandala has been presented by Rishi Kanwa and his descendants. Prasanna Chandra Gautam was born in Nepal in an orthodox Braahmin family of renowned academics and was educated in Nepal, India and the United Kingdom. He retired as Senior Lecturer in Medicine and Consultant Physician. His interests outside medicine include ancient history and philosophy. Besides scores of technical papers in medicine and textbooks, he has published a novel, a biography, a memoir and a book and articles on the Rig Veda. He is also the principal translator and editor of the translation of the Rig Veda Samhitaa in Nepali.
