About Author
Professor G.K. Ananthasuresh is a distinguished Mechanical Engineering professor at IISc, Bangalore, India, specializing in microsystems since 1991, particularly in modeling and design. He edited the pioneering book on Optimal Synthesis Methods for MEMS.
Professor K.J. Vinoy, with degrees from Kerala and Pennsylvania State, is an Associate Professor in Electrical Communication Engineering at IISc, Bangalore. This marks his third publication in the field of Microsystems.
Professor Gopalakrishnan, a Fellow of INAE, teaches Aerospace Engineering at IISc and chairs the Aerospace Applications and Structural Health Monitoring group for India's National Programme on Micro and Smart Systems.
Professor K.N. Bhat, formerly of IIT Madras and now a Visiting Professor at IISc, is an INAE Fellow recognized for his significant contributions to VLSI and MEMS technology, as well as education and manpower development in India.
Professor V.K. Aatre, a Fellow of IEEE and INAE, served as Director General of DRDO and Scientific Adviser to India's Defence Minister. He received the Padma Bhushan Award and initiated national programs on Micro and Smart Systems, founding the Institute of Smart Structures and Systems (ISSS).
