About Author

Dr Gemma Newman has been a British family doctor for twenty years. She is also a member of the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine, a founding member and ambassador for Plant Based Health Professionals UK and a Reiki healer. Her holistic health, nutrition and lifestyle advice has achieved tremendous results for her patients, as well as numerous others via her @PlantPowerDoctor Instagram platform. She is regularly invited to teach other doctors and the general public about the benefits of plant-based nutrition via training programs, podcasts and medical conferences. Dr Newman has been featured on ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and Sky News Sunrise as well as BBC Radio. She has contributed to numerous articles for magazines, newspapers and podcasts. She has written two books: The Plant Power Doctor (Ebury, 2021) and Get Well, Stay Well (Ebury, 2024).
