“Designing and Managing The Supply Chain” offers a comprehensive exploration of fundamental principles and solution methods in supply chain management. It covers the design, operation, control, and management of supply chain systems, emphasizing the role of intuition in these processes.

While the structure of this edition follows previous versions, the content has been updated to include topics such as distribution management, network planning, supply chain design, and customer value. Each chapter includes examples that illuminate technical issues, along with case studies that demonstrate the application of theoretical principles in practical contexts.

The latest edition incorporates new industry developments and frameworks, with a specific focus on the Indian context. It also includes a CD-ROM featuring educational games like Risk Pool Game, Computerized Beer Game, and the Bidding Game to enhance learning.

Ideal for undergraduate, postgraduate, and MBA students, this third edition, published by McGraw-Hill Education in 2007, is available in paperback.

Key Features:

– Winner of the Book of the Year Award and Outstanding IIE Publication Award.

– Recognized by Business 2.0 in 2001 as the premier resource for reducing time and costs while enhancing productivity in supply chain management.
