Unlike most entrepreneurship books that focus on venture-backed startups, this work explores the journey of building sustainable, profitable companies through bootstrapping. Its unique focus is on “upstart” businesses—traditional enterprises that thrive through incremental innovations and operational excellence rather than disruptive technology—highlighting a massive but often overlooked opportunity in India’s growth story. With the country’s expanding economy creating unprecedented prospects for such ventures, this book fills a crucial gap in entrepreneurship literature by addressing the Indian context.
