About Author

Amy Blackwell is an artist and a creative dabbler. She paints, prints, knits, scribbles, what ever takes her creative fancy at the time. Amy is based in the Nottingham, UK. She's inspired by the weird and wonderful, clashing colours, the natural world, history, fashion and folklore. If there's any opportunity to draw patterns on something I'll give it her best shot. Amy has had an online illustration and art business since graduating from university in 2007. She began illustrating books in 2018 and her work includes portfolio books including Earth Heroes and Aretha Franklin (Little People, Big Dreams #44). Brilliant Minds is Amy's second book with Affirm Press following the popular Rise UP!, published in 2019.
