In 2007, Kishore Kumar Puli founded a microfinance enterprise to serve rural entrepreneurs excluded from formal banking, and within three years, his portfolio surpassed ₹100 crores with over a hundred branches. Far removed from tales of inherited privilege, Kishore’s journey reflects the real challenges faced by an Everyman navigating dithering borrowers, unprofessional bosses, and managing teams decades his senior, all while maintaining integrity in a world dominated by cloak-and-dagger politics. Blunted Spears and Prickly Circles offers a rare, grounded perspective for those tired of feel-good business clichés, providing experience-driven insights for navigating the complex realities of building a business from the ground up.
