ArchaeoGiri is the first ever attempt at turning India’s vast archaeological wealth into human voices through cartoons. It captures moments from the hoary past the way no textbook does. Come, say hello to a Neolithic woman, a Harappan seafarer, Aryan toddlers and a few stray charlatans too!

About Author

Shubha Khandekar studied archaeology and participated in excavations at Shringaverpur, Inamgaon and Chandore, but missed being an archaeologist by a hairline. After three decades of journalism she bounced back with her ArchaeoGiri cartoons on Facebook. They have been displayed at the annual Archaeology Day celebrations of Mumbai University's Centre for Extra Mural Studies and also at an international conference on elephants, held in Sri Lanka.
