Varun P. Kulkarni is a multifaceted writer, content creator, and engineering professional whose life and work bridge history, culture, and contemporary identity. As the founder of Breathing History, he brings overlooked stories from India’s past to light through research-driven insights. In his engineering career, Varun has designed over 600 mechanical systems and introduced innovative tools that enhance engineering efficiency. With 15 years of experience working for various HVAC manufacturers in the United States, he currently serves as a Business Development Manager for data centers. He holds a master’s degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Oklahoma State University, a Credential of Readiness (CORe) from Harvard Business School Online, and is pursuing a Professional MBA from the University at Buffalo, NY. Drawing on his experiences as a member of the Hindu diaspora, Varun explores themes of faith, identity, and belonging in his debut book, A Weekend Hindu.
