About Author
Khushwant Singh (1915-2014) was a prominent Indian writer, journalist, and historian known for his prolific literary contributions and colorful personality. Born in Hadali, now in Pakistan, Singh's early life was marked by the turbulence of the partition of India in 1947, an event that deeply influenced his writings and outlook.
Singh began his career as a lawyer but soon found his passion in writing. He started his journey as a journalist, working for publications such as All India Radio and The Illustrated Weekly of India.
