About the Translator: Pranav Kumar Singh is an editor, translator, publisher, creator of mind games and curator of lost literary classics. He was born into a polyglot family, which is fond of books and reading. He grew up reading books and is fluent in Maithili, Hindi, Bengali and English. It was natural for him to make his career in the world of words, languages and books.

Pranav is the Editor and Publisher of Ponytale Books, an India-focused, independent publishing house specializing in books for middle-grade readers. He curates lost classics in Hindi and enjoys creating mind games that enable children to think in their mother tongue. He has translated Premchand: Selected Short Stories (2010) into English and Leo Tolstoy: Bachhon ke Liye Kahaniyaan (2017) into Hindi.
