ScalingMountUPSC authored by Sajjan Yadav_IAS sir is not an ordinary book. It is the testament to the power of our mind, most potent force, which when used properly could create miracles in our lives. Sajjan sir, in capturing the lives of young IAS officers has once again raised the bar for book writing. The resounding success of these officers came through their unrelenting thirst for their dream, most of them driven by the need to create an impact in the society.
The idea of pursuing one of the toughest courses was sprouted within for some, while for others, it was imbued by their loved ones. The book, written in a lucid language, emphatically highlights the poignant stories of 7 young & enthusiastic officers who rose above various hurdles enroute with passion, sheer grit and unwavering focus.
Reading the story of a girl who ‘lost her vision, in her early childhood days, but ‘didn’t lose her sight’ scaled the Mount UPSC gave me goosebumps. Equally striking was the decision of a 24 year old graduate from IIT to quit a lucrative job in The States and chose the uncertain path of UPSC, eventually achieving success.
All in all, Scaling Mount UPSC serves as a powerful source of inspiration for the youth of this wonderful nation and is a must read, especially for those ardently pursuing the prestigious civil services exam.
