About Author

A.V.S.S. Sambamurty is a Senior Reader in Botany in Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi, teaching Genetics and Taxonomy for the past 3 decades to B.Sc. and B.Sc. (H) students. He published 25 research papers in rice cytogenetics. He participated in several Indian and foreign symposia, seminars and congresses. He is a Fellow of the Genetic Society of India and the Botanical Society of India, and a member of several scientific bodies. He is the author of more than 15 textbooks meant for B.Sc., M.Sc. (H) and M.Sc. students of Botany.
