About Author

D.N. Sathyanarayana has been associated with the Department of Inorganic and Physical Chemistry, Indian Institute of Science, where he is currently an emeritus professor. His interest has centered on the applications of molecular spectroscopy for structural elucidation. He has published over 300 research articles in prestigious national and international journals. He is the author of three popular books: Vibrational Spectroscopy: Theory and Applications (New Age International), Electronic Absorption Spectroscopy and Related Techniques (Universities Press) and Introduction to Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy - ESR, NMR and NQR (IK International).
